Dear Backers,
We are pleased to announce that we have completed recording and editing the primary audio track for "My Love Affair With Marriage". We are now ready to focus on making sets, shooting stop motion sequences and animating.
In early August we recorded our final SAG-AFTRA actor, Stephen Lang, who plays Jonas, a bohemian artist and master seducer.

Stephen was in Los Angeles preparing to film AVATAR II, III, IV and V in which he will play Colonel Quarich, the villain in each of the sequels. We were not able to fly to LA for the recording so we worked with Stephen via phone from Brooklyn.
We then spent ten days with sound master and the film's vocal-track editor Arjun Sheth choosing the best takes of our 26 actors and assembling them into scenes.

Most of the actors were recorded separately and it was a thrill for us to hear the script came to life. Their nuanced performances gave the script layers of new meaning. We cannot wait to start working on the visual aspects of the film.
We added composer Kristian Sensini's 23 songs and song fragments to the sound track. These will be recorded later in Latvia, but the music is completed and ready for singers. With all the elements in place, first Arjun, then the three of us, went through the entire audio track multiple times fine-tuning - adding a slight pause here, tightening up a speech there. Signe acted out the action-without-dialogue sections to get the approximate timing that she will need to animate. This past Friday, we finally completed the process and celebrated!
